NOJI Architects had improved the dark and damp layout of the original home with a more open ambiance that was better connected with the garden.
Spreading over a surface of 155 square meters, the redesigned home has the ground floor kitchen integrated with the dining space to maximize the view toward the south west while also permitting an extension of the interior with the garden.
The new plywood structure was made through a series of triangular plains that were interconnected to permit light to go through to the interior and bring an interplay of shadows with the passage of the sun. The plains have a plywood lattice structure supporting them and this material was chosen for its structural and economic properties as well as for its aesthetic qualities.
