The first five-star hotel in Russia: the Belmond Grand Hotel Europe

The first five-star hotel in Russia names the Belmond Grand Hotel Europe recently unveiled six new suites, one of which being the presidential suite inspired by the 20th century Russian artists.

The hotel is located on Nevsky Prospekt in St. Petersburg, Russia and there are 19 rooms on the first floor with the six suited adding more space. The hotel will celebrate its 140th anniversary next year and to complement the historic neo-baroque architecture the new suites bring a contemporary aesthetic created by the Tihany Design studio.

The presidential suite has a surface of 350 square meters with a grand lobby leading to it and it offers a great overview of the urban landscape with two bedrooms, two marble bathrooms, a hammam sauna, its private fitness center, a games room, a study and library with a secret bookcase door to the bedroom.
The guests in the presidential suite can serve their meals into the dining room which can host up to 10 persons and there is also a kitchen, all of the areas being designed with opulent high ceilings and an aesthetic that is reminiscent of the Russian art of the 1900s.
