Strange in design comes from The Georges-Freche School of Hotel Management

FUKSAS architects has design the Georges-Freche School of Hotel Management in the ZAC Port Marianne area to the east side of Montpellier, France as a hotel/school that wants to transform the landscape by adding a new landmark to it.
The project is designed as a single entity with a sculptural shape to distinguish its different programs and an interior where each room has its individual proportions. There are two main buildings linked together by footbridges to cross a central courtyard.

The school contains three floors of student accommodation units, housing for management employees, a gym and athletic tracks outdoors. The other building is placed on the Titien Road and it spreads over three floors with a multipurpose room, an exhibition gallery, administrative offices, classrooms and the canteen with exits leading to the recreational spaces.
The second building is where the vocational teaching takes place with areas dedicated to the hotel and a gastronomic restaurant. The hotel is open to the public and it has 12 rooms and two suites, three restaurants, a brasserie and a teaching restaurant.
