Interior design of an apartment in Spain

This apartment was transformed from an old building loft into a joyful contemporary one where some of the original elements were maintained for a cozier ambiance in Malasana, a central neighborhood of Madrid, Spain.
The open layout was reorganized to improve the access and the doors were removed for a visual connection between the areas. The raw wood beams and columns add a natural texture to the space and the white walls and ceiling ensure sufficient brightness inside.
The owner has a love for art and music and so the design had to reflect these elements with decorative pieces such as the black and white photos or the abstract paintings. There are plenty of vintage pieces like old trunks and even animal craniums to make the setting more personal and the furniture pieces themselves are antiques to bring a contrast to the modern elements for a well balanced and beautiful atmosphere.
